【Elmo小课堂】鼠年到底是“Rat”年还是“Mouse”年？

即将迈入的鼠年，标志着中国农历新年进入了一个新的轮转。在国际化日渐完备的如今，母语拜年已经成了“传统节目”，英语拜年又陷阱不断，今天我们就来聊聊生肖的官方英文名吧~

不论是鼠年，还是牛年，英文开头都可以是“Year of the”然后加上动物名称~这个地方要注意的是：虽然在英语中，不同的词也可以表示同一个动物，但用在生肖上却不能混淆。

 

比如猴年是 Year of the Monkey，但鸡年却不是 Year of the Chicken，为什么呢？让我们一起来学习生肖的名称吧~

生肖的英文是 Chinese zodiac sign 或是 Chinese animal sign ，至于十二种动物的名称如下：
